MemberMyself and KZ3 have kissed and made up and I'm tackling elite again (solo this time). It's easier than KZ2 and I'm up to chapter six without too much fuss. There was a smattering of choke points that had me grinding my teeth for a while but the controller has yet to be fired at the wall.

In fact the only truly frustrating part is having to rely on that fat fcuk Rico and his wildly fluctuating interpretation of the proximity needed to heal my downed ass. Sometimes he'll run across the level urging me to hold on but just as often stand above me mourning the fact that he can't get to me.
It doesn't help that his character is easily the worst in the game. I've had to sit through that “Gentlemen, it's been an honour” line three or four times now and it still makes me wince.

MemberThis thread is “sad, very very sad”.
Welcome to the site but starting off with a rant thread (especially the tired PS3/Xbox saga) is a pretty poor statement of intent.

MemberI seem to be bouncing through games at the moment. I can't stick to anything.
I'm a bit off with KZ3 right now after not getting my trophy for beating it on elite (co-op doesn't count apparently) and Two Worlds 2 hasn't been the huge improvement on the first I was hoping for so I'm not giving it too much time. And I'm still picking away at some PSN titles, Shatter being the most recent.
One solid thing I did do today was go back and play through the Enslaved DLC 'Pigsie's Perfect 10'. Decent length, fun story and it plays very differently to the main game so it doesn't just feel like a re-hash. Hammered home the need for Enslaved 2 (We should be so lucky).
One thing I ave been dedicating a lot of time to is Dawn of War II on the PC. I'm an RTS nut and a big fan of the 40K universe as well. The game is awesome and it's always nice to take a break from trophies.

Play.com dispatched mine early yesterday. Bit sly really, think they must have got wind of the delay!!
Mine would have been dispatched today. I had both it and Homefront ordered and I got the cancellation e-mail along with the Homefront dispatch e-mail. Balls…

Hurt – Nine Inch Nails
amazing song that Johnny Cash always seems to credit for even though Trent Reznor wrote it
That's one of my favourite tracks. Cash does a decent cover but the original is still superior. The best version I've seen is a live duet between Trent Reznor and David Bowie.

MemberI don't bother using any of the ones I have (all from PS+) as I'm quite loyal to my Ratchet and Clank avatar. But I do think the broadening range is great. I particularly like the Dead Nation set.
I think it's fair to say the original lot we got were pretty poor and people tended to gravitate towards the same ones.
I'd love to see games giving more unlockable avatars. The trophy picture for getting the plat in a game would be cool.

MemberI'd do the Mothership first. Simply because it's the weaker and it's nice to finish with a bang. Point Lookout was my favourite while Zeta got pretty boring. It has it's moments but the environment just loses it's interest after a while and you do feel like you're just wandering around the same spaces.

MemberFinished Killzone 3 on elite in co-op yesterday and got no poxing trophy for it! Apparently it's the only campaign related trophy that has to be done in single player. I can't understand why they would do that! It's like they don't really want you to play co-op!!

MemberDead Nation, Magic Orbz, Age of Booty, Noby Noby Boy (I'm throwing this in because it fits the criteria, even though it's SHITE!) or Deathspank.
Or any of the Ratchet and Clank games. Burnout Paradise is also a doddle to pick up and you can drop in and out without a bother.

Then remembered both my copies are American.

The Van Percie sending off was the biggest joke I've seen in a long time. You're right about Sky reporting that only a second had elapsed between whistle and kick.
And the fans weren't the only problem, I'm pretty sure it was the Barca keeper Valdez that got a suspension after he immitated a ref's whistle and an attacking player that was through on goal stopped because he thought off-side had been blown against him. Crap like that can happen and the players should be given some bit of allowance.
If I was Wenger I would have dragged my team off the pitch and spat at the ref's feet.

Member'Broderskapets Ring' from the album Stormblåst by Dimmu Borgir.
The original 1996 recording, back when these guys sounded like they meant something and before they turned into a complete joke.

MemberMy Killzoning is confined to when my brother calls over (fcuk you local co-op) so I've started into Two Worlds II to pass the time when he's not around.
So far, not so good. There's no denying it's a massive improvement on the first game, but the first one was such a crock of shit that it'd have taken serious effort to make anything that bad a second time. I've only played about two hours but that has mostly been comprised of shockingly rendered cut-scenes, boggin' dialogue and one or two errand boy missions. I know that's how most RPGs tend to start out but I kind of had high hopes for this one.
And the fact that the main character sounds like he's being voiced by Snake Plissken from 'Escape from New York' really doesn't help…

MemberIt's been a while since anyone mentioned this GRINDfest but I've been steadily(ish) chipping away at it so if anyone is still interested in boosting some XP (either create or racing) then give me a shout here or on PSN.
