MemberThanks for the help lads. Both suggestions sound infinitely better than our “we'll see what happens” plan.

Games need to be like 10 hours or more. Nowadays they are all so damn short. It really pisses me off. Oh ya, they expect me to buy a 4 hour long game, for $80. You have to be kidding me. Then people will say “Oh, it also has multiplayer, that never ends, so you get like a whole bunch of hours.” And I say, “Well buddy, they put a shit multiplayer with it, that took them like two hours to make, and no it isnt an infinate amount of time, it gets pretty damn boring after like half an hour.” So there is my rant of the day. Does anyone else feel this way?
Very much so. The idea that a game either has to have a solid MP or SP and not both is a joke. Most third-person shooters manage it so I can't see why an FPS has to be any different.
Mind you, I'm not too pushed about the story being too short. On the other hand if what I'm hearing about co-op being local only is true then I'm going to be pissed. If they haven't bothered bringing it online then it's a massive opportunity missed and a step backwards in terms of gaming.

MemberI haven't tried it in Hardcore yet but a slight glitch I found helpful in the first game on impossible mode was carrying multiple versions of the same gun.
The game randomly drops ammo to (nearly always) match whatever you're carrying in your inventory. So if you have four different guns then they're, roughly, going to be getting 25% each of what you pick up.
If you buy the weapon packs from the PS Store then you can equip three different versions of some of the guns and that massively increases the chances of the random ammo drop being for that weapon. By the time you play the game on Hardcore you're going to know what weapon you find most useful and it's much easier to keep it well stocked and upgraded if you treble up on it and ignore the guns you don't use.
Like I said, I haven't tried it in Hardcore mode yet so I'm not sure if it works but it's making things a lot simpler on my second regular playthrough.

MemberThis is most likely going to see one or more of my controllers smashed and my coffee table will also likely bite the dust.
There are far more places in DS2 than DS1 where you get completely swarmed by the enemy and a stack of areas just packed with instant deaths. I was trying to pin-point the best places to save on my first playthrough and I gave up.
I think this is going to be best played with a friend. That way I can hand someone the controller when I feel like firing through my TV.

Ruining perfectly good games with touch screen actions and gyros = Fail

MemberI have a couple of the older PSPs lying around that I have just for playing the odd game that ties in with what's being released on the larger systems. Stuff like Silent Hill: Shattered Memories or Origins and Motorstorm: Arctic Edge. If future releases like that can net me trophies then I'm all for it.

MemberThat is sweet news. Trophies means profiles will be transferable. Although now I have to deactivate a console.
I'm liking the twin sticks as well.
I773D33MABL3
MemberYour save should be fine as long as the console didn't die while it was saving. Any saves that aren't locked should also be fine to copy and if you think you're console can last long enough to do a full back-up then even the locked saves will get transferred.
The back-up is also handy because it copies all install data and games so you can save a lot of time when you get a new one.
And definitely take Jenkem's advice on trading it in or selling it. The heat-gun fix is very rarely permanent.
One last thing to mention, if you do fix it then before selling it, make sure to deactivate all profiles on the console so you don't use up one of your five 'lives'. This can be done through account management. Deleting the profile isn't enough.

MemberSpent today on LBP 2 with my brother. This game is a peach for multiplayer. Most of the levels took us ages because we were breaking our arses laughing. A definite lesson in fun. I had started it yesterday but only played a bit on my own before being intimidated by all the new stuff flying at me!!
Makes a nice change from grinding out XP in Modnation racers. I think I've about 360,000 to go…

MemberMan, you were going so well with that rant, mirroring my own thinking and then you had to let the side down by mentioning Good Charlotte, a hair-product covered anti-climax!
But those berks aside, I understand where you're coming from. Modern music is an industry and like any industry the guys at the top don't want to hear something new or different, they're only interested in the tried and tested formula that makes money. Minimum risk for maximum reward. The result of that being a total lack of originality or creativity.
Mainstream music is almost entirely empty and flat, a song will be played non-stop for months and then never heard of again because it means nothing. Yourself and Parn are fans of Led Zeppelin and you know that twenty years from now you'll still be fans because proper music never gets old.
Most of what I listen to is obscure extreme metal. It's not for everyone, but I love the fact that when I throw on an album I'm listening to something that a band invested a part of themselves in. And that comes across in every note.

I'm not going to disagree or agree with you on your opinion but while I don't mind things getting a bit off topic, I think a discussion on the justification of the ban on weed is a little heavy to veer into. If it's something you feel strongly about then I'd say definitely start up a thread as it's the sort of topic that most people will have something to say on and it should develop quite a bit.
That's just my “two cents” on it though, I'm not trying to police what you post.

You're a classy guy monkey. I bet you go all out and get them a battered sausage as well.

Congrats man. You'd better take tour eye off all the upcoming games though, 'cause now you're going to need your cash for wining and dining the lady.

Member€130 for the year? I'm not against subscriptions in general but that seems a bit steep to me. Considering the amount of free or dirt-cheap MMOs available on PC, this would want to be something revolutionary to be asking that price.
