This franchise has gone downhill. Hope this one is different.

No matter how many trophies this game labels as “epic”, it will be as far from epic as Bob Kotick’s chances of being recognised as a human being!

The only chance this game and epic will ever share a sentence is if it also includes FAIL!!!

It remains to be seen whether it’ll be amazing but there is always hope that they can bring this dead franchise back to life. I think that i’ll prefer this as opposed to Prostreet though as this has more of a Grid feel to it.

IMO Need for Speed has always been a franchise that yo-yo’s around. I think its bcus they make so many games, focusing on quantity rather than quantity. One thing for sure, there’s been good ones and there’s been bad ones, and you kinda have to check it out yourself to make your mind up. This ones a rent im sure of it, and I think a lot of you outhere would be wise to do the same.

this was the Shizznick ps2 highschool days but not so certain now i’ve always played Ridge Racer an this but NFS might need 2 retire if this doesn’t leave a lasting impression.

another gold and silver bonanza. Is that to tempt people back to a franchise that is no longer appealing.motorstorm and burnout still lead the way i’m afraid.i wont be “shift”ing back. See what i did there?

yes we saw wot u did n it was crap, haha, it wasnt too bad tbh. Da vidoes so far point towards a re-generation (fancy word i know :) ) of a rubbish series. Im hoping it will be gd

I think game will be the one to take the place currently occupied by Racedriver GRID, which is the BEST racing game on PS3. I disagree when people say Burnout is the best racing game, as I don’t see it as real racing.

  17. TommyFlop
    September 4th, 2009 at 20:44 | #17

    @ESGC82
Real shame grid doesn’t support trophies. i agree grid is the best racer of its kind, burnout more a community game with loads of ways to play i.e cops + robbers, point to point race, challenges etc.

Hey Guys, This looks like a alright game but EA have made some bad games in the past. Like NFS Prostreet thats when EA became rubbish. I may get this game because i like NFS games. I PLAT NFS Undercover but I may buy this to get PLAT very easy.

NFS UNDERGROUND was the best out of all of them you could actualy put new engines in sh*t cars like civics and 206’s and make them as fast as any other car in the gamee plus they had like 20 bodykits for each car and u could put new head lights and tail lights on them plus the gamme was actualy a challenge not like last nfs took me less than 3 days to platinum far to easy

I rented this game from block buster. Looks ok to me , better than undercover. However i wanna know if the trophies still show up for my PSN account. Because I was not able to see it when I get online in my computer and goto sony website. But i could see my trophies in Ps3.

sounds like this game will take place more online than anything else.anyone know if theres a story line? N4S Undercover was kinda bad with the story, lucky the platinum was not too hard to obtain with its online competition.

I concur. Seriously, NFS Underground 1&2 were the best NFS. You could do so many things on those games that it was actually interesting modding your car and stuff. I tried the demo of this NFS and ishh, I really didn’t liked it much… even that it had high scores, I really didn’t liked it. So I’ll pass!

These trophies are not so easy as they may look. If you really want platinum you should have some skill on racers and a huge patience achieving every minor badge. Shift is harder than Grid basicaly because it’s hard to control the cars. Be patient at the beginning until you learn to control the car without spinning out. Anyway, I still think Grid is better than Shift but this one guarantees lots of fun too.

I got platina on this, and what i’ve heard before about EA delivering bad games, this game is alright, only the stuff you do for your trophies doesn’t always register wich was f*cking annoying, had to start winning online to get my platina (you can get platina offline, that is if everything goes like it should go),not very hard, just the bugs in the badge-system set me back some time.
Good game, but there are new trophies now i see.. :s
