MemberI was away for a few days so Just tried a few Vita demos. Since getting home I've only played The Impossible Game. First two levels beaten (No flags!) but level three is most definitely a difficulty spike…

MemberThanks for the info Seibie, I hadn't realised there was a new game+
And I wasn't going to pick different people to go to different parts of the island but during my first playthrough I'm sure I'll have missed one or two small areas and I was just wondering if I randomly wander through them on a second playthrough will they count towards the total.

MemberUp to about 82% in the main story in Dead Island.
But more importantly: I beat level 1 in The Impossible Game!!! Without flags!!
And not even a fcuking trophy to show for it

MemberA couple of questions for the Dead Islanders out there.
For anyone that's finished the main quest, is it free roam afterwards or does the playthrough just end?
For the 'Rootin, Tootin, Lootin' trophy, do I have to get all five weapons with a single character or can I do it across multiple characters and playthroughs?
The same question for the 'There and Back again' trophy. One or multiple playthroughs/characters?

MemberSo the spec ops didn't impress me like I thought they would. At best they felt like co-op sections of the campaign (with no plot) and at worst they were a fcuking grind that we were glad to see the end of. The pace was far more varied than MW2 but none of the missions had the right balance between difficulty and progress.
Anyways, survival is up next and hopefully that'll be more entertaining. One question though. For the three trophies that require you to buy all options in the three armouries, is it in one session?

MemberSeason 2 of Game of Thrones tonight!! Hopefully following on the tails of United knocking the shite out of Rovers!!

MemberTHe first half of today was spent kicking the crap out of zombies on Dead Island. Explored a large part of the jungle and managed to pick up a few trophies to boot.
But todays real success was most definitely finishing the spec ops in MW3! Talk about a poxing difficulty spike! The last four took us longer than the previous twelve! One more session should see Survival given a kicking and that should be the Plat…

MemberA lot of football on today so not too much gaming had. Still, I did find the time to clean up the last few SP trophies in MW3 and gr8jrfan has been helping me with the Spec Ops. Only four missions left for tomorrow and then on to the Survival!
On Friday myself and Mojo finished act 2 in Dead Island.
And I (Finally!!!) got round to having my 60GB console fixed so I might re-visit a few classics. I had Battle Arena Toshinden arrive in the post after the burn-out so that'll be first up. I only ever played it on an old demo in the mid 90s so looking forward to some nostalgic ass-kicking

MemberI'm just trying out Uncharted myself. I won't play much as I have a long bus journey coming up and I want something to pass the time.
Did you play the game with the traditional controls or the touch screen and motion? The screen works really well for the climbing and movement but I'm not sure how handy it would be in a firefight.

MemberHaven't played much over the last couple of days but last night I decided to tackle Resonance of Fate again. I hadn't a clue last time as the combat system is fairly complex and the tutorials are a bit shite.
But to improve my odds I recruited one of my mates to help out as he's an RPG nut. We only played the first area but progress is (slowly) being made.

Member@Scotty
Only if you think you'll go on to buy more titles. I find the handhelds are great for playing through the old PS1 games that normally get demolished on the larger TVs.

MemberI know what you mean. I use it on my lunch in work (saves me the price of a newspaper) but the main reason I got it was for when I'm away from home for a few days or have a long bus journey.
There's also a few choice titles that I'll want to play, it was the same with the PSP.

MemberWho cares what the game is like, there's a collector's edition!!!!!
On a serious note, I'm still looking forward to this. I've yet to play Revelations but as far as I'm concerned Brotherhood could have gone on for another fifty hours and I still would have loved it so more of that please!
The setting could be interesting but I'm not too sure about the glimpses of free-running through the trees. I've no doubt it'll work well but what's the point? A forest tends not to be an active area in terms of NPCs and missions.
